EYE EXAMS

Dr. Troy Mysliwiec offers comprehensive eye examinations for all ages. This includes a thorough testing of the function of the eye, assessment of the health of all ocular structures, and diagnosis and treatment of any conditions or abnormalities that may observed. During a comprehensive eye examination, prescriptions for glasses can be obtained through a procedure called a refraction. This can then be used to aid in the fitting of contact lenses.

Dr. Troy Mysliwiec has a special interest and gained invaluable training during his residency at the Salem Veterans Hospital in ocular disease. Oftentimes patients develop chronic conditions such as dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration where there may be no cure but careful monitoring is crucial. Furthermore, diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure can effect the eyes and these conditions require careful monitoring and assessment of the eyes; all of which Dr. Troy has experience in. Unfortunately, at times emergencies happen whether through trauma, red eye, sudden loss or changes in vision and we offer emergency services, as well.

Martinsburg Family Eye Care offers the latest in eyeglass and contact lens technology. Dr. Troy Mysliwiec, on-site optometrist, is available to discuss all options for your eyecare needs. Contact lenses, including the popular soft lenses or the gas permeable lenses are available, as well as the proper fitting of eyeglasses. Specialty lenses for certain eye diseases, such as keratoconus, are also available. Our goal is to instill comfort and confidence in your vision choices, no matter what your needs may be.
